The all-new Lotus Emeya redefines what a luxury vehicle should look and feel like. Lotus’ rich heritage of dynamic excellence combines with the latest and most captivating modern technology into the marque’s first four-door hyper-GT made for the drivers. The name embodies ambition and commitment to the future ahead, and the continual evolution of Lotus’ essential sports car DNA permeating into every vehicle it produces.
Emeya’s exterior design is immediately recognizable to its Lotus forebearers – Evija, Eletre, and Emira. The smooth surfaces and diligently placed air ducts carve through the air in svelte and efficient fashion. Emeya also sports advanced aerodynamic features to maximize downforce for sporty driving and high speed control – including an active front grille, active rear diffuser, and active dual-layer rear spoiler. Sharing similar battery and motor designs to the Eletre hyper-SUV, Emeya will endeavor to produce upwards of 900hp in its top trim, and reach 100km/h from standstill in under 3-seconds onto a top speed of 256km/h. When connected to a rapid 350kW DC charger, Emeya can recharge up to 150km of driving range in a mere 5-minutes, or can recharge from 10% to 80% of driving range in under 20-minutes.
As Lotus’ new flagship, Emeya is designed and engineered to provide a pleasurable experience for occupants just as much as the driver. KEF’s award-winning Uni-Q speaker and Uni-Core subwoofer are complemented by Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound for a world-class immersive soundscape. Also integrated into the comprehensive sound system is sophisticated road noise cancellation to add greater peace and serenity to every drive. The interior is the first in the automotive industry to use a new and sustainable luxury thread made from repurposed cotton scraps from the fashion and garment industries, it also saves weight over comparable leather and clothe. Other durable, tactile, and lightweight materials are utilized throughout the interior including Alcantara, PVD Aluminium, and Ultrafabrics PU.
Production is expected to begin in 2024 with more details to come.
